Sticking with the theme of 5k's for the month that's in it, consider irish olympian Monica Joyce.  Never heard of her..?  That's because she's 50 years old and competed for Ireland in LA in 1984!!  A couple of weeks ago she absolutely shattered the Womens world record for 5k running a superb 16:19 in mt Sacs, beating the previous record by a minute!  There aren't too many people male or female of any age in Galway that could post such a time.
