
PBs abound at Dublin Graded Meet
Shauna Tobin in action in the Women’s Long Jump at the Dublin Graded Meet in Santry
A number of athletes from the club made the trip to Dublin on Wednesday night to take part in the first meet of the Dublin Graded Series 2017 in Morton Stadium, Santry.
Laura Cunningham was first into action, racing to a PB of 13.55 when taking 3rd place in the Womens 100m B race. Also on the track, both Ben Garrard and Gavin Cooney raced to outdoor PBs in the A and C Mens 800m races with Ben taking 8th place in his race in a time of 2.02.37 and Gavin taking 4th place in his race in a time of 2.07.81.
In the field events, Shauna Tobin took 3rd place in the Women’s Long Jump with a best of 3.87m while Jerry Keary had to withdraw from the Men’s High Jump after picking up a slight injury when clearing 1.80m. Laura Cunningham was in fine form in the Women’s Triple jump when taking 1st place with all of her jumps in excess of 10m and in the process setting a new club junior record with a best of 10.42m.
