Porters’ Hollymount

Porters’ Hollymount

Well done to all Craughwell A.C. members at a breezy Hollymount yesterday, as usual the porter family prove their pedigree once again on this though but rewarding circuit.

David dished out a fantastic performance to take 3rd place against stiff competition in the youth race in 11.27, well done to David, while younger sister Laura blasted home to take overall fifth and first place girl on the day in 13.22,

brilliant running Laura. She was followed by Sophie Ralston in a superb 8th place overall and 2nd girl on the day in 14.02, again closely followed by Caoimhe Quill snatching a top 10 finish overall and 4th spot for the girls team in 14.57.These Craughwell girls ran out resounding victors of the girl’s team event with a brilliant 23 points. The future’s Bright for the women’s team. 1st 2nd & 4th, what an inspiration to us all- well-done girls.

At the senior end we had 7 turn up on the day to face” The hill”, this course doesn’t suit everybody, however a few posted PBs’ against the odds.On his first outing over the testing 3 laps circuit Johnny Nevin slashed 2 minutes 19 seconds off his previous best in Clare Galway in August. Well done to all the senior men .
