Well done to all of the schools who participated yesterday in the Christy Kennedy Sports. We had our largest partipipation ever with 10 teams from 7 schools taking part. I am attaching the provisional results to this article and will update tonight with individual names. There were some fantastic performances throughout the day and some very close finishes.

The results make interesting reading. Well done to Craughwell NS on taking the overall title and to Ballyglass NS on taking the title in the inaugural B division. Ballymana were the top school in the field events when you seperate out those and Craughwell just shaded the track events from Killeeneen. Clarinbridge were strongest in the relays while Carrabane were strong throughput the events and our smallest school Coldwood doing particularly well this year. One of the highlight races was the 3/4 class girls 80m where Carrabane, Ballyglass and Coldwood took the top 3 places – just showing the spread of talent throughout all of the schools.

With 10 points for a victory, 9 for second etc all the way down to 1 for 10th place, the final results make it very very tight and the titles could have gone either way. In the A division, Craughwell were ahead by 17 points which is the equivalent of less than 2 events while Killeeneen and Clarinbridge were seperated by just 2 points in 2nd and 3rd place.

Results attached here and I will update later with names:- ProvisionalCKSResults2015.pdf
