While Craughwell's juveniles were busy in Nenagh last weekend and Craughwell's fit4life were busy preparing for their race last Tuesday, one athlete was quietly going about the business of breaking National records in the UK.
Diarmuid Quill quietly slipped across the Irish sea for the British Masters Indoor Track & Field in the state of the art Lee Valley athletics centre. And he quietly leaped 1.55m to come ever so close to the medals when finishing in 4th place. And he quietly broke the Irish National record for the M45 age group!
Now I know what you're thinking – where's his birth cert, that young fella is never over 45. But seems he is and was just keeping it quiet!
Details of the old records are at:-
Well done Diarmuid!!
