Almost 500 participants took part in the Coole 10k run today organised by Craughwell AC members Gabriel and Josephine Gardiner in aid of the Ardrahan Defibulator Project. The Ardrahan Defibrillator committee was set up in 2008 after the sudden death of Ardrahan local Kyle McCrann.
Kyle had joined Craughwell AC that summer and took part in the Connacht track & field championships where he placed 5th in the U16 200m in a time of 26.97. It was nice to see a large turnout in support of such a worthy cause.
Best wishes also to Al Callanan who was in need of medical assistance at the finish line but thankfully is fully recovered now.
