Craughwell Community Games took place on Monday in glorious sunshine on the athletics club new grounds in Crinnage, with a little bit of history made in the process as the club’s new tartan track was used for a competition for the first time. The pre-school girls had the honour of been the first competitors in an official competition on the track with Ailbhe O’Shea 1st, Robin Haugh 2nd and Lisa Shaughnessy 3rd. The results of the day are as follows:

The leading 2 athletes from U8 and upwards qualify for the Galway finals which will be held in Ballinderrin on the June bank holiday. Qualifiers should liaise with Martina Morgan (087 2405800) in regard to their selected event.
