Round 2 of National League
Craughwell AC were represented in large numbers on the County Galway women’s team that contested round 2 of the Premier Division of the National League in Athlone recently – providing half of the 18-strong squad and in the process helping Galway qualify for the National League final in August. Maeve Curley and Cathriona Farrell got the Galway team off to an excellent start with victories in the 1500m race walk in a time of 6.45.42 and in the high jump with a leap of 1.65m in windy conditions.
