Well done to Declan o Leary who completed the Berlin marathon in September- a unique experience competing in the same race that Kipchoge set the world record!

Brian Matthews completed the SSE airtricity half marathon in Dublin recently earning another PB for himself this year.

Congrats to John Fitzpatrick, Kevin Mooney, Stephen Carty and Noel Gorman who completed the Charleville half marathon. John achieved a Pb in the distance with 1:26 and Stephen Carty’s Pb streak continues this year in the half marathon distance. Kevin Mooney who was 16th overall in a very competitive field now holds the club record for the half marathon distance.

Closer to home loughrea AC held their annual grey lake 10k incorporating their clubs 50th anniversary. Rena Deely, Tom Tuohy, Helena Gorman, Dan Keane and David Evans all took part in the race with great times recorded.

The Galway bay races were held last weekend and were blessed again with beautiful weather. Well done to Annemarie Shalloo who completed the 10k. Piotr Prokop, John melia, Dean Roche, David Callanan, Dan Keane, Elisha Daniels, Irene fallon, Aisling Roche, John Fitzpatrick, Colm McAllen and Brian Matthews completed the half marathon in superb times with Colm McAllen and Dean Roche securing a Pb in the distance! Kevin Mooney was first in the marathon with a fantastic time of 2:40!

On the same weekend Brian and Katie Gorman completed the Budapest marathon in very warm conditions both completing the race on the 3:47 Mark. Well done everyone- great running!
