Its been a great year so far for the Senior Club, the Craughwell 10 was a huge success then onto the 5k series with many runners getting a PB at the Craughwell leg. End of term Fit4life 5k time trial all of you Fit4lifers should be proud. Summer training continued then the ‘Streets’ road race with many of our members again getting PB’s. Then we hosted the half and full marathon on the 27th of August, we have had many members completing 5k’s, 10k’s half and full marathons and a Triathlon! Well done Niamh.
We are now into our Autumn training, Fit4life is at its 4th week already great progess is being made. Fit4life meets Wednesday at 7.30 and Saturday morning at 9 at the track.
Senior training continues Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7.30 training plans have been set up and we do weekly speed sessions, interval training and Pyramids. We have training plans to go with upcoming races, all members are welcome at the track, its fully lit all weather track, well maintained with toilet and changing facilities car park accross from track entrance.
Many members are taking part in events overseas, Berlin, Lisbon, Amsterdam next weekend. Then the big one Dublin City Marathon the end of October.
