Shauna Smashes Sprint PBs in the UK!

Shauna Bocquet had a great weekend at the British wheelchair racing games in Stoke Mandeville to start off the track season. On Saturday she qualified for the B finals of the 100m and 400m where she won both in the afternoon and was only 2 seconds off her 1500m PB clocking 4:36 in windy conditions after a solo push.

Sunday was better weather wise and Shauna got a PB in the 200m series on her way to qualify to the A final where she came 6th in the afternoon. Her new PB is 34″35. She battled hard in the 800m but unfortunately didn’t qualify for the final but still managed to produce a good race. She rounded off the day with a final 100m where she got a massive PB in 18″86 (first time sub 19) only to find out that the wind reading was +2.1ms!!

Well done Shauna! Great start for the track season and its back to the road today for Shauna for the Craughwell leg of the 5k Series.
