Shauna Bocquet competed recently in Coventry at the Godiva Classic with some excellent performances and 4 Personal Bests out of 5 events. Shauna raced 100m, 400m and 1500m on the Saturday and 100m, 200m and 800m on the Sunday.

Saturday started off with the 100m where Shauna raced to a time of 19.08 but the wind reading was not legal at +2.3m/s. Later that day in 400m Shauna clocked a 2 seconds PB of 65.66 to better the time she had set at the Diamond League back in September 2016 and she rounded off the day with a massive 14 seconds PB in the 1500m in a time of 4.20.15!

Sunday went off to a flyer with the 800m where Shauna managed to hang on with some senior athletes and then came around them to win in a sprint finish earning herself a 7 seconds PB in a time of 2.10.97! Three hours later in the 100m, she could not better her PB but still posted a strong performance with 19.34 only 0.07 away from her best time and finished the day with another PB in the 200m where she clocked 34.20 to take 2nd place thanks to a very strong finish in the last 50m. Great results after a good block of training before this competition.

Shauna has one more competition next Sunday with the England Age Group in Bedford where she will be competing in the U14 girls over 100m, 200m, 400m and 1500m.
