Sinéad and the Gang blitz the Green Mile
In an atmosphere not seen since the Eurocross, the Craughwell lads and lasses were out in force to put on a fine display of middle distance running in the inaugural Tribal Running Green Mile, sponsored by Trappers Inn. Sinéad Gaffney was first lady home in a fantastic 5:17, a new club record!.

In the men’s race, Sinéad’s boyfriend Keith Fallon put the young guns in their places with a fine win in the men’s category in 4:26, just 1s ahead of Oisín Davis of Craughwell AC in 2nd with a fine new Club Record!. Next home for Craughwell was Kyle Moorhead in 4th with 4:29 and Jack Miskella (5th) and Seán Cotter (6th) in 4:30. Though the thousands of spectators may not quite have understood it, this was racing of the highest standard, and great to see! Alan Hallinan who is still u14 ran a superb mile to finish 14th in 5:34 and Alan Warde was well up the field in 27th with a fine time of 6:20.

Hopefully this event will be a fixture of the calendar going forward, this was an amazing start and it can only grow from here!
