Strong Performances at South Connacht Schools XC

Some of Pres Athenry Intermediate Boys team who put in an exceptional
performance at the schools cross country

The South Connacht Schools Cross Country Championships took place last week in The Claddagh where athletes from the club put in some fine performances while representing their schools.

It was a particularly good day for the Pres Athenry in the team events where they took a clean sweep of the team titles in the 4 girls races and indeed took a second medal in the Senior Girls event where the school took both team gold and silver. And to add to the school’s success, the boys teams took gold in the Minor Boys and silver in the Junior Boys and also placed very highly in the Intermediate Boys with 4 runners in the top 20.
