On Sunday last some of our marathon runners and fit4life group made a huge leap of faith and went to test the Connemara course. It was a pretty cold morning with a blanket of snow all over .we left the hall at 8:00 and slowly but steadily made for the west, conditions were a little precarious but none the less manageable as was the course.

Seven took on the 13.1 and a smaller group of four started at the 5-mile mark.  Conditions steadily improved as we made our way to the” hell of the west “, by the time we started the climb the roads had all but cleared and the sunshine was pleasantly warm, in fact I have never experienced a better days running nor seen Connemara look so incredible to date, truly a spectacular and unique location for such a run. Well done JOC.
We successfully mastered the hill and our debutants were very pleased to have seen what lies in store on the 22nd . Well done to Val and  thank you for the organisation and logistics on the day we truly enjoyed it.

Best of luck to all who take part in march, I will be thinking of you all  while catching some rays in Cuba that day ,I know I have the priorities all wrong again!
