It was a super day out for over 30 of our U12’s and U13’s with many achieving new PB’s and smashing their own targets. That’s what it’s all about, challenging yourself, doing your best, and having fun with your friends.

The day kicked off with our U12 Boys relay 4×200 storming home with a gold in 2.03. Congratulations to Seán Colleran, James Niland, Darragh O’Donnell and Lincoln King. Super run also by Kian Armstrong, Ruairí Mc Nena, Ciarán Mc Nena and Jack O’Dwyer. Special mention to Jack for stepping in last minute and putting in a superb run.

There was a huge field of 74 athletes in the girls U12 60m sprint. Adele Casserly had a fantastic run of 9.41 coming in at 6th overall, closely followed by Grace Drysdale with a run of 9.51. Two new PB’s for both these girls. A super run also by Jessica Madden with a sprint of 10.71.
Seán Colleran brought home silver with a stunning U12 60m srint in 8.86. Our U12 hurdlers put on a great showing on their first time out competing in the hurdles. Darragh O’Donnell, Ruairí McNena , Ben Casey and Ciarán Mc Nena coming 4th, 5th, 6th and 9th respectively. Well done to Grace Drysdale with her 8th place finish.
In the U12 600m Donal Coyle had a strong run finishing 2nd in his heat in 1.53. James Niland also dominated his heat in 1.53. Sophie Meehan continues to do us proud placing 9th overall.
U12 Boys High Jump brought home the silverware with super performances from Kian Amstrong in 2nd with a jump of 1.20 and Lincoln King bringing home bronze with a jump of 1.20.

The U13’s would not be outdone with some stellar performance too! Some fine sprinting from Calum Mc Mahon, Daithí Lawless, Zach Keane, Cathal Desbonnet, Vanessa Madden, Zosia Machaj, Kiera Havil and Aoileann O’Connor.

Alan Hallinan took home the first of his golds in the 60m hurdles in a fantastic time of 10.36. Mighty runs also from Zach Keane and Cathal Desbonnet who most definitely held their own.
In the 600m, new member to our club held a strong run placing 9th with a time of 1.59, closely followed by Aisling Lavan in 11th, also super to see Aoileann O’Connor back on the track.

Alan Hallinan continues to dominate the 600m, scoring another gold with a run of 1.40. Strong run also by Oisín O’Donovan placing 5th in 1.48.

Our U13 relay teams had great runs with Vanessa Madden, Kiera Havil, Aoileann O’Connor and Aisling Lavan placing 8th overall. Calum Mc Mahon, Daithí Lawless, Oisín O’Donovan and Alan Hallinan placed 5th overall with Zach Keane, Darragh Browne, Seán Colleran and Cathal Desbonnet taking 8th.

It was Alan’s day again at the long jump taking gold with a jump of 4.23 followed by Oisín O’Donovan in 3rd with a jump of 4.16.

Our U13 Shot Putt boys were out in force again this week with Max Madden, Cathal Desbonnet, Killian Burke and Oisin Molloy placing 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th respectively.

Well done to Aisling Lavan with her 4th place finish in the High jump with a leap of 1.20. More silverware for Oisín O’Donovan bagging gold with a jump of 1.30.
