Reports from the US are creeping in about Val and Dervilla's experience in the Chicago Marathon which was held at the weekend … fresh off the airwaves …

"… race yesterday was cancelled due to extremely hot conditions … ran to 22 miles where we were told to walk to the finish … all a bit unreal … hard earned medal … lots of very ill runners … hottest day on record for Chicago marathon …"

Thankfully Val and Dervilla seem none the worse for the experience.
