Peter O’Sullivan excelled in the Britain and Ireland International Masters Cross Country which was held in Santry at the weekend. Peter who coaches in our U9 age group, placed 10th in the M40 category to help Ireland take the team victory ahead of England and Scotland. Well done coach! Some of your protégées will hopefully still be at the sport in 2047 when they might emulate you!

Also at the weekend, the Craughwell AC senior team achieved a notable team victory in the 50th Hollymount International 10k Road Race held in Mayo where Jason Broderick placed 2nd, Jerry Ryan 4th and Damien Larkin 9th – the club’s first time winning one of the most prestigious and oldest road races in Connacht. Former coach in the club and former Hollymount race organiser Josephine Gardiner also made a rare road racing appearance in Hollymount at the weekend – well done Josephine!
